Lucy Fallon will switch on the 2019 Illuminations?
Multi award winning actress Lucy Fallon is to switch on the 2019 Blackpool Illuminations in her home town.
Lucy Fallon who plays Bethany Platt in ITV´s Coronation Street, will pull the famous switch in front of 20,000 people at the official Switch On concert on Friday 30th August 2019 on the Tower Headland.
Lucy, who was born in Cleveleys, studied singing, acting and drama from the age of two. She made her first public stage appearance as a dancer in pantomime at The Blackpool Grand Theatre.
Since joining the cast of Coronation Street in 2015 she has enjoyed a stellar rise to fame winning the Best Actress and Best Female Dramatic Performance in the British Soap Awards 2018 and winning the National Television Award for Serial Drama Performance in the same year.
For those who were not successful in the draw or want to guarantee a ticket for the Switch On, you can buy tickets to the Golden Circle. The Switch-On Golden Circle tickets enable a limited number of people to get a close-up view of the show in an exclusive Golden Circle section on the Tower Festival Headland Arena
For those who want to see the Switch On in style, VIP tickets are available. VIP Tickets include access to the Marquee, Welcome Drink, Picnic Bag in the Arena, Notaranii Ice Cream, and After Party Access. These tickets are limited due to marquee limitations so book quick to avoid missing out.
In 2018 the crowd was be wowed by live performances from Ella Eyre and DJ Producer Jonas Blue, R3wire and Varski. It is the third year running that Diversity had played a starring role in the event they will be joined by Britain’s Got Talent finalists DVJ (Diversity Juniors). The event will be hosted again by MTV’s Becca Dudley. Once the Switch-On ceremony is over an hour-long party under the Lights commences.
The latest details of the 2018 Switch On performers are: Diversity will perform a bespoke set and after their amazing performance on Blackpool Tower Headlands stage. Singer Ella Eyre and DJ Producer Jonas Blue will perform plus Club MTV DJs Rewire & Varski with what is sure to be a great set. More entertainers will be announced in the coming weeks.
