Blackpool Illuminations 2024 Switch On Show
The concert, which for the 2024 Illuminations Switch On was a FREE family party. It had live music and family entertainment. The 'show' kicked off at 7pm at Central pier with The Nickelodeon Grand Parade - a spectacular procession along the Golden Mile, showcasing the beloved characters from the world's most popular children's TV channel. This featured characters such as Sponge Bob Square Pants, PAW Patrol, Baby Shark, transformers and Monster High. They where joined by around 100 dancers, musicians and street artists. They made their way to the Tower Festival Deadland from 7:30 on Switch on Night.

The 2024 show will be hosted by Hits Radio.
Hits Radio: Hits Radio is a network of 26 contemporary hit radio stations in the United Kingdom, owned and operated by Bauer Media Audio UK. As of June 2024, the network has a combined reach of 7 million weekly listeners. They will bring a two-hour show hosted by Hits Radio with a line-up of some top music talent.
The 2024 performers are:
Ella Henderson: is a singer and songwriter. She competed in the 9th series of The X Factor in 2012, being the 8th contestant eliminated despite being a strong favourite to win. She signed with Syco Music shortly after, and released her debut studio album, Chapter One in 2014, which reached number one in the UK. The album spawned the chart-topping single "Ghost", as well as the top 20 singles "Glow" and "Yours". She went on a four-year hiatus in 2015, and released her second studio album, Everything I Didn't Say, in 2022.
Kimberly Wyatt: Best known as an original member of the recording group The Pussycat Dolls, Kimberly Wyatt is a powerful woman to be reckoned with. The Grammy-nominated girl group sizzled onto the pop scene in 2005 with their debut album, PCD, and had a string of hits, including Don't Cha and Stickwitu, both of which reached number one in the UK charts.
This year, Kimberly embarked on her first DJ tour. A fully certified DJ, Kim has completed a 30 date tour that incorporated her love of music and dance. Kimberly now has a monthly radio show podcast available through iTunes and has recently started remixing other artists.
Massaoke - Rockstar Weekend: Turn the spandex up to 11. The band behind MASSAOKE have toured the world, rocked stadiums and performed to zillions. And now the party superheroes are back – with a new name, the riffs of Led Zep, the costumes of Ziggy Stardust and the swagger of The Spice Girls.
A ROCKSTAR WEEKEND show is a euphoric, spandex-clad journey through the greatest smash hits of all time, with mash-ups, megamixes, MASSAOKE and more. A dazzling, high-energy live experience supercharged by videos on massive screens, giant lyrics, confetti blasters, rockstar poses and face-melting guitar solos.
Blackpool Introduces: will start the show off, with The Upbeat Rock Academy, which organises rock music tuition for more than 300 students from across the Fylde Coast. The hour-long showcase will also include House of Wingz, an award-winning hip hop dance crew that has already been featured on prime time national television.
