2024 Switch On

The annual Blackpool Illuminations Switch-On event, one of the biggest in Blackpool’s calendar, has been staged indoors for the last few years but it's back to the Tower Headland for the 2024 Switch ON! This year will be a little different to traditional Switch On's! 2024 will again be a FREE non ticket event!! The 2024 event starts at 5pm on Friday 30th August with Upbeat Rock Academy and House of Wingz till 6:30pm.

The at 6:30pm to 7pm Hits Radio Music Video Show will be entertaining the crowd.

The main celebrations on the Tower Headland will commence at 7pm running to 9pm. Amongst the performers will be Massaoke Band (RockStar Weekend), Kimberly Wyatt and Ella Henderson.

The 2024 Switch On celebrity is Mel B from the Spice Girls. She will throw the switch for the 2024 Switch ON.

is an American, British-based singer, dancer, actress, and television personality. She is a former member of the girl group and dance ensemble The Pussycat Dolls.

Ella Henderson - 2024 Illuminations?

Ella Henderson:

is a singer and songwriter. She competed in the 9th series of The X Factor in 2012, being the 8th contestant eliminated despite being a strong favourite to win. She signed with Syco Music shortly after, and released her debut studio album, Chapter One in 2014, which reached number one in the UK. The album spawned the chart-topping single "Ghost", as well as the top 20 singles "Glow" and "Yours". She went on a four-year hiatus in 2015, and released her second studio album, Everything I Didn't Say, in 2022.
